Talking points
New season
The Wildcats will be hoping they pick up where they left off on Saturday, after their big win over Melbourne, because their season head-to-head with Sydney won't give them much confidence.
The Kings comprehensively beat the Wildcats by an average of 23 points across their three meetings in NBL26, but the Playoffs are a new season.
Can the Wildcats build on their impressive second half against United and shock the Kings in Game 1?
Your move, Kendric
It was one of the hottest topics of the past two weeks since the MVP was given to Bryce Cotton, who just edged out Kendric Davis.
In the first game since then for Adelaide, Cotton erupted for 42 points and led them to a 1-0 lead in the series and now all eyes turn to Davis.
The Kings' leading man is no stranger to the big moment and will be fired up and ready to lead his team to a similar position on Wednesday night.
What they're saying
Kings coach Brian Goorjian on the Kings’ focus during the FIBA Break:
“For us really it's not clarity, it's not changing what we do. It's the balance of who plays together and the versatility we have with lineups.
“We'll be able to spend a lot of time scrimmaging with different groups of five and I think that's a strength.
"The addition of Torrey Craig … we feel like we've got a really special player in Torrey.
“He's had very limited training time or time with us. Getting him balanced and comfortable in our group I think can take us a full step forward."
Wildcats coach John Rillie on his confidence in the Wildcats' playing group:
"What I like about this group is when everyone is together and playing for each other, and playing to each other’s strengths, that’s when good results happen.
“Our team is built the way that it is so we have to maximise how our team is put together. We are very confident in each other’s abilities.
"We are that team so we need players stepping up in this moment.”
