Chris Goulding has added another two years to his existing contract, meaning he will remain at Melbourne until the end of NBL27.

Melbourne United captain Chris Goulding has secured his immediate future at the club after signing a two-year contract extension on top of his current deal, which means the sharpshooter is now contracted until the end of NBL27.

Goulding arrived at Melbourne following stints at the Bullets, Wildcats and Blaze in 2012, and has since become one of the leading lights of a generation of Australian basketballers. He’s won two NBL titles, six All-NBL nominations and a scoring title whilst at the club.

He was also named to the Boomers' extended Paris Olympic roster early on Thursday morning.

The 35-year-old connected with the most three-pointers in a single season in the 40-minute era in NBL24 (140) and says there is no club he would rather be playing for.

“This is our home. We’ve been here for a long time so the ability to be staying here with the club for another two years is something myself and my family are excited about,” Goulding said.

“I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else … all I want to do is bring more success to the club.”

Goulding, Matthew Dellavedova, Shea Ili, Like Travers, Kyle Bowen, Tanner Krebs and Flynn Cameron are currently United’s fully contracted players heading into NBL25.

The news of Goulding’s extension has come after Jo Lual-Acuil Jr elected to decline his player option ahead of next season, and the club parted ways with Zac Triplett and Malith Machar.
