Dieng and Besson Invited to NBA Draft Combine

The New Zealand Breakers duo of Ousmane Dieng and Hugo Besson have both been invited to the NBA's Draft Combine where they'll compete alongside the top prospects for NBA decision makers.

Held in Chicago from May 18-20, Dieng and Besson are amongst a total of 76 players who will attend which also includes Australian Dyson Daniels.

The format of the Combine includes players having interviews with NBA teams and participating in five-on-five games as well as shooting and strength and agility drills.

In addition to the 76 players named, a number of standout players from the 2022 NBA G League Elite Camp which includes Perth Wildcats forward Luke Travers will be invited to participate.

During NBL22, Dieng averaged 8.9 points and 3.2 rebounds finishing the season by scoring in double figures in five of his last six games.

Besson averaged 13.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.5 assists across 25 games for the Breakers which included five games with 20 or more points.

The NBA Draft will take place on June 23 at the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn.
