Bryce Cotton – 28 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists | 44 SuperCoach points per game
‘Bryce Cotton doesn’t have tow bad games in a row’. It’s a saying that’s become part of the standard vernacular of the NBL over the past decade, and it’s a saying that rang true in Round 11.

Cotton struggled in the Wildcats’ Round 10 loss to Illawarra, but exploded in Perth’s win one-point win over Tasmania, and came up clutch to help guide his side to victory under high-pressure circumstances.

The three-time MVP hit a three-pointer with under a minute left to give the Wildcats at one-point lead, and then iced a pair of free throws with just eight seconds remaining to re-establish the single-point margin.

The JackJumpers failed to convert a tough opportunity to win the game on the other end, and the Wildcats got back onto the winners’ list – largely thanks to their superstar guard.

Jaylen Adams – 15 points, 10 assists, 5 rebounds | 44 SuperCoach points per game
The Sydney Kings had been put on blast for their defence leading into Round 11, but the back-to-back reigning champs responded in style with a much-needed win over Tasmania.

Jaylen Adams did what Jaylen Adams does in the victory, and the former MVP contributed to all phases of play to help guide the Kings to victory.

His 15-point, 10 assist double-double was just the third time a player has registered a points/assists double-double in NBL24, and he pulled down five boards from the point guard position for good measure.

Jo Lual-Acuil Jr – 16 points, 9.5 rebounds, 4 blocks per game | 39.5 SuperCoach points per game
Melbourne was on the double this week, and Jo Lual-Acuil Jr was absolutely dominant in United’s pair of Round 11 victories to help give his side some breathing room on the top of the ladder.

For all the talk of two of the NBL’s dominant centers facing off in Thursday’s Throwdown, Lual-Acuil Jr played one of the most physically imposing games we’ve seen in the modern NBL era, and briefly flirted with a points/rebounds/blocks triple-double.

He ended the game with 17 points, seven rebounds and seven blocks before once again proving an integral part of Melbourne’s fortunes against Adelaide.

He finished with 15 points and 12 boards in the win over the 36ers.

Nathan Sobey – 24 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals | 39 SuperCoach points per game
Nathan Sobey came oh so close to guiding his team to one of the great comeback wins in NBL history on Sunday afternoon, however the Bullets fell by a solitary point to local rivals Cairns in the final game of the round.

Sobey top scored for the Bullets with 24 points, but also went to work on the defensive end with a game-high four steals.

The clash marked a return to form for Sobey, who previously hadn’t surpassed 20 points in a game since Brisbane’s Round 5 win over Tasmania.

Keanu Pinder – 15 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks | 38 SuperCoach points per game
Keanu Pinder has settled into his rim-running role at the Perth Wildcats to near perfection, and he’s beginning to replicate the form that made him such a highly-sought after off-season free agency target.

Pinder was at his versatile best in Perth’s narrow victory over the JackJumpers and registered multiple statistics in each of the five major metrics.

Along with his 15 points, six boards and trio of blocks he also added two steals and four assists.

Anthony Lamb – 29 points, 8 rebounds, 1 block | 37 SuperCoach points per game
New Zealand’s massive win over Cairns was a deserved positive moment for Anthony Lamb. The former Golden State Warrior has been one of the NBL’s best performers this season, but the Breakers just haven’t found ways to consistently win.

The combo forward was supported by Next Star Mantas Rubstavicius’ 21 points and eight rebounds in the 29-point win, and he stole the show on both ends of the floor.

Lamb equalled his NBL career-high 29 points, that had previously been set against the Kings in Round 6.

Gary Clark – 12 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists | 37 SuperCoach points per game
The Illawarra Hawks have surged back into Play-In contention in a big way since Justin Tatum took the head coaching reins, and the all-around performances of former NBA forward Gary Clark have been crucial to their change in fortunes. It was no different in the Hawks’ win over South East Melbourne in Round 11.

Clark was a beast on the boards, and pulled in just two fewer rebounds than the rest of Illawarra’s starting five combined, and he used his patented intelligent offence to both create opportunities for himself and find his teammates in scoring positions.

Despite the Hawks’ struggles this season this is Clark’s fifth nomination for Chemist Warehouse Fans MVP.

Isaac Humphries – 16 points, 8 rebounds, 5 blocks | 37 Supercoach points per game
Isaac Humphries led the NBL with 2.8 blocks per game in 2020-21, and every iota of that rim-protecting skillset was on display in Adelaide’s defeat to Melbourne in Round 11.

Humphries was taking on the two-headed monster of Jo Lual-Acuil Jr and Ariel Hukporti for the 36ers, and wasn’t just a factor on the defensive end with his five blocks. Five of his eight rebounds came on the offensive glass.

The 36ers weren’t able to get the job done against the competition’s best side, but given their propensity for a high-paced offence under Scott Ninnis, Humphries’ rim protection will be crucial if the Sixers are to turn their fortunes around.
