Jonah Bolden’s season-ending achilles injury delivers a tough setback for the Illawarra Hawks, as they fight to keep their NBL26 campaign on track.
The Illawarra Hawks have been dealt another injury blow, with Jonah Bolden ruled out for the remainder of the season.
The club announced Bolden suffered an achilles tendon injury during the FIBA Break and will undergo surgery early next week.
It’s a bitter pill to swallow for the reigning champions, who only days earlier had been buoyed by the news that star big man Sam Froling is expected to return in the latter part of December.
Bolden has made eight appearances this season, averaging 4.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
