With most teams having double fixtures in Round 7, Beat The Coach strategy will be crucial.

Beat The Coach: Top Round 7 picks & PLAY NOW

With some massive results and huge performances last weekend, there is plenty of excitement in the air as we head into Round 7 of NBL26.

Six NBL clubs will hit the court twice this weekend, giving SuperCoach players plenty of different options to find their perfect winning formula.

Damon Lowery was tough to beat once again last time out, falling to less than 1,500 players in Round 6. He’s on a hot streak, so coaches will need their absolute best to take Damon down in Round 7 of Beat The Coach, presented by Choice Hotels.

Premium options:
Bryce Hamilton – Tasmania JackJumpers ($275,900)
Casey Prather – Brisbane Bullets ($417,000)
Jack McVeigh – Cairns Taipans ($271,100)
JaVale McGee – Illawarra Hawks ($375,600)
Jo-Lual Acuil Jr – Perth Wildcats ($374,800)
Josh Bannan – Tasmania JackJumpers ($288,100)
Kendric Davis – Sydney Kings ($396,300)
Kristian Doolittle – Perth Wildcats ($280,100)
Marcus Lee – Cairns Taipans ($233,900)
Tim Soares – Sydney Kings ($281,500)
Tyler Harvey – Illawarra Hawks ($355,600)
Tyrell Harrison – Brisbane Bullets ($368,100)
Will Magnay – Tasmania JackJumpers ($300,300)
- Names listed alphabetically

The Brisbane Bullets duo of Casey Prather and Tyrell Harrison were excellent once again last weekend, finishing with 76 and 73 SuperCoach points respectively over their two games.

Both of their prices have risen slightly off the back of their form, but they are still two of the best options in the game as we head into another double-game week.

Jack McVeigh will be a game-day decision ahead of their clash with the Brisbane Bullets on Thursday night. If he does make it back, McVeigh would be pumped up for a return to Tasmania over the weekend and would be a solid SuperCoach pick as always. However, the uncertainty around his selection does make it a big risk.

Teammate Marcus Lee was arguably the Taipans best player against Melbourne on Friday night, dropping 39 of his 43 SuperCoach points in one outing. At just $233,900, he looms as a terrific cheaper option at the center position compared to his big-name counterparts.

Coming off a second victory for the season, JaVale McGee will be itching to keep the Hawks’ season on track with a big pair of games. McGee hasn’t dropped below 30 SuperCoach points this season, and even on their worst nights he has been dominant. Expect another strong weekend from the Hawks big man.

Tyler Harvey has been pretty consistent for the most part in 2025, averaging 35 SuperCoach points and only dropping below 29 on one occasion. Coming off a score of 43 in the Hawks’ win over the Wildcats, he’ll be looking to capitalise on a bit of momentum as well.

Much like McGee, Wildcats center Jo Lual-Acuil Jr has also been unbelievably dominant this season, averaging 40.4 SuperCoach points per game. His price is steadily rising each week, now up to $380,600, but he’ll always be an excellent pick going into any double-game weekend.

Kristian Doolittle has been in red-hot form over the last couple of weeks, averaging just over 30 SuperCoach points in his last four outings. The Wildcats forward has been ultra reliable even with the team losing in three of those last four encounters. There’s no reason his run shouldn’t continue, especially if Perth are to turn their fortunes around against Tasmania and South East Melbourne this weekend.

Kendric Davis built upon his strong run of form last weekend with a 79-point SuperCoach haul against the Phoenix and JackJumpers. As far as premium guard options go, there aren’t many better for the upcoming round.

His teammate Tim Soares also put in another excellent shift over two outings last weekend, with 54 points for the round. Getting over the 45-point mark for the third-consecutive double-game weekend, Soares has quietly been putting together a terrific season so far.

Josh Bannan was Tasmania’s highest-scoring option last weekend, with 32 SuperCoach points against the Kings, while Will Magnay wasn’t far behind with 31. Either would be a solid option heading into games against Perth and Cairns.

Bryce Hamilton had another quieter night from aSuperCoach perspective, but there’s no denying what he can do at his best and he’d still be a great pick over two games at $275,900.

Budget-friendly picks:
Ben Henshall – Perth Wildcats ($154,800)
Bul Kuol – Sydney Kings ($104,900)
Elijah Pepper – Perth Wildcats ($141,800)
Jaron Rillie – Perth Wildcats ($132,500)
Jaylin Galloway – Sydney Kings ($153,100)
Kouat Noi – Sydney Kings ($179,500)
Kyrin Galloway – Cairns Taipans ($153,300)
Lamar Patterson – Brisbane Bullets ($165,000)
Nick Marshall – Tasmania JackJumpers ($163,300)
Reyne Smith – Cairns Taipans ($144,500)
Taine Murray – Brisbane Bullets ($106,000)
Wani Swaka Lo Buluk – Illawarra Hawks ($128,400)
- Names listed alphabetically

Lamar Patterson had another impressive weekend in astarting role for the Bullets, finishing with 45 SuperCoach points for theround. Teammate Taine Murray has put his hand up too and has beenfantastic for Brisbane, sitting just behind Patterson on 44 points for theround.

Cairns guard Reyne Smith also finished with 44SuperCoach points last weekend and has hit a nice run of form over the lastfortnight. He’s still an excellent cheap option, although his price is risingand he sitting at $144,500.

With Alex Higgins-Titsha missing the first game throughinjury, and uncertainty around Jack McVeigh’s return, Kyrin Galloway shapesas a strong option at $153,300 after scoring 36 SuperCoach points across twogames in Round 6.

Wani Swaka Lo Buluk has been Illawarra’s most consistent budget option so far this season, and is a strong option at just$128,400 with four SuperCoach scores over 18 for the year to date.

Perth’s guard trio of Jaron Rillie, Elijah Pepper, and Ben Henshall were all superb in Round 6, with SuperCoach totals of 33,60, and 49 respectively.

With it being unlikely that all three players will keep upthis form week-by-week, coaches will have a choice to make. Rillie has been themost consistent of the three, but Pepper and Henshall were excellent last roundand would be brilliant picks if they keep it going.

Kouat Noi added to his list of strong showings thisseason, finishing with 40 SuperCoach points across two games in Round 6. Atjust $179,500, Noi has proven to be one of the most reliable options in theleague.

Jaylin Galloway had a solid weekend, with 36SuperCoach points for the round. 26 of those came against Tasmania in what was his best game of the season so far.

Bul Kuol also had his best showing for 2025 in a starting role against the JackJumpers, with scoring 18 of his 27 SuperCoach points for the weekend in that game.

Speaking of that contest, Nick Marshall should take plenty of momentum from an insane game-winner against the Kings and could be a good option for coaches at $163,300. While he only scored 12 SuperCoach points in that game, he finished 48 points over two games in Round 5 and has previously shown that he can score well.

Tempting single-game choices:
Bryce Cotton – Adelaide 36ers ($464,800)
Nathan Sobey – South East Melbourne Phoenix ($343,900)
- Names listed alphabetically

Bryce Cotton had his second-lowest score of theseason so far with just 33 SuperCoach points against Melbourne United. However,33 against the most in-form  team in theleague is nothing to scoff at and there’s no reason why he can’t jump backabove 50 or 60 points once again.

Nathan Sobey was the highest scoring player for Round6 of Beat The Coach, with 84 points for the weekend. He’s on an excellent runof form and would be an interesting point of difference for coaches if that were to continue in Round 7 against the Wildcats.
