Perth GM of basketball Danny Mills says the club will explore all avenues to build a roster that will get the Wildcats back into the finals next season.
Perth missed the finals for the first time in 35 seasons this year, ending one of the greatest streaks in sport history.
With three-time MVP Bryce Cotton already re-signed, Mills says the Wildcats are leaving no stone unturned in free agency, including looking at potential Next Stars.
“You’d be silly to take anything off the table yet,” Mills said via The West Australian.
“We’re looking at absolutely every avenue we can to build a roster.
“Obviously there’s certain levers you can pull in the NBL to build a roster and a Next Star is one. Anything that can make our roster stronger for the now and the future we will look at. But nothing is imminent.”
The Wildcats haven't signed a Next Star since the program was introduced in 2018.
Mills also added he would love to see Luke Travers back in Perth, but the club will encourage him to first to chase his NBA dream.
