Kings crown stars at awards night

Star import Kendric Davis has taken out the Sydney Kings' MVP award at the club’s annual presentation night.
The Sydney Kings have crowned their top performers from the NBL26 season at the club’s annual awards night.
Held at Waterview in Bicentennial Park, superstar guard Kendric Davis, who is averaging 23.8 points, 6.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game, took out the Kings’ MVP award.
"Blessed great group of teammates, coaches, and support system. Thank you to the entire Sydney for accepting me," Davis said via X.
Other award recipients on the night were Bul Kuol (Defensive Player), Matthew Dellavedova (Michael Wrublewski Coaches’ Award), Tyler Robertson (Player’s Player) and Makuach Maluach (Members’ Award).
The Hoops Capital event also saw the club recognise the Sydney Flames for their efforts during the 2025-26 campaign.
Import Unique Thompson was named MVP, with Lauren Nicholson (Coaches’ Award and Player’s Player) and Agnes Emma-Nnopu (Defensive Player and Members’ Award) being recognised.
The other award presented on Tuesday night was the Laurie Watterson Club Person of the Year, which went to Renae Garlepp.
Brian Goorjian’s Kings next travel to John Cain Arena on Sunday for a blockbuster clash with South East Melbourne from 2.30pm AEDT.
That Round 20 fixture will be broadcast live on ESPN and Channel 10.
