Sydney Kings NBL26 Grand Final MVP Kendric Davis ($436,000) is, by the truest definition, a SuperCoach NBL Classic POD (point of difference). In reality, he's a strategy.

Davis, 27, is owned by just 6.5 per cent of SuperCoaches, and picking him is a schedule-led decision. The Kings are about to head into a double-header bonanza in Rounds 5, 6, 7 and 9. He won't be a POD for long, and his price will almost certainly rise.

For new players, PODs are low-ownership, high-upside players who deliver the goods, especially in head-to-head leagues, where SuperCoach teams share many of the same players and rely on unique selections to win.

We've built the definitive list of PODs ahead of Wednesday's 7.30pm AEDT lockout, when Adelaide hosts Melbourne in the Ignite Cup at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.

The two PODs most worth considering are Taran Armstrong ($304,700, 3.2 per cent owned) and Tyrell Harrison ($336,100, 4.6 per cent owned), with Tasmania and Brisbane both playing multiple double-headers before Round 9.

Below is a full breakdown of every POD by price and bracket.

The premium POD

Davis has risen to $439,700. He has the second-best average in the game (44.7) and is owned by fewer than one in 15 teams. Sydney plays once in Round 4, then doubles in Rounds 5, 6, 7 and 9. If you're chasing rank, this is the move.

The high-upside PODs

Nate Hinton ($277,000, now $290,500) is 4.9 per cent owned and averaging 33.0 on 31.7 minutes. Brisbane plays four straight double-headers in Rounds 6, 7, 8 and 9.

Armstrong ($309,300) is 3.2 per cent owned and averaging 31.5 on 34.8 minutes. Tasmania doubles in Rounds 5, 7 and 9.

Harrison ($322,400) is 4.6 per cent owned and averaging 30.2, including 33 in Round 3. His price has dropped $13,700, so he's cheaper now than at the start of the season. Brisbane doubles in Rounds 6 to 9.

The double-header PODs

Illawarra has five double-headers, in Rounds 4, 6, 8, 9 and 10, and three Hawks are worth a look.

Milton Doyle ($274,700, now $281,200) is 6.6 per cent owned and averaging 29.2, and scored 37.5 a game in Round 3.

Kelan Martin ($277,000, now $258,900) is 2.7 per cent owned and scored 28.5 a game in Round 3 on 28.9 minutes. He's down $18,100, making him a buy-low option.

Tyler Harvey ($271,700, now $256,600) is 2.7 per cent owned and averaging 23.4, with the same five Illawarra doubles.

Cairns doubles in Rounds 4, 7, 8 and 10. Malique Lewis ($207,900, now $263,400) is 7.4 per cent owned and averaging 28.6, or 10.9 points per $100k, and is up $55,500 since the start of the season.

Melbourne doubles in Rounds 4, 6, 7 and 9. Joe Ingles ($300,000, now $276,700) is 2.8 per cent owned, averaging 24.0, and $23,300 cheaper than he started.

The value PODs (points per $100k)

Will Johnston ($69,000, now $96,900) is 6.8 per cent owned and averaging 17.7 on 15.1 minutes. At 18.2 points per $100k, he's the best value of any POD. Sydney doubles in Rounds 5, 6, 7 and 9.

Dakota Mathias ($145,200, now $173,400) is 1.9 per cent owned and averaging 24.5, or 14.1 points per $100k. His 36.5 minutes a game are the most of any POD. Tasmania doubles in Rounds 5, 7 and 9.

Elijah Pepper ($202,700, now $258,400) is 5.3 per cent owned and averaging 30.0 on 35 minutes. Perth's doubles come late, in Rounds 7, 8 and 9, so he's a hold-and-wait POD.

The deep PODs (under 2 per cent owned)

Dylan Windler ($271,100, now $296,200) is 1.5 per cent owned. He scored 35 in Round 3 and is averaging 29.5.

Nathan Sobey ($379,600, now $351,400) is 1.8 per cent owned. He scored 33 in Round 3 after a slow start and is down $28,200, making him the bounce-back candidate.

Andrew Carr ($277,000, now $264,600) is 0.7 per cent owned. He scored 25 in Round 3 and has Sydney's four doubles to come.

Jaylin Williams ($277,000, now $270,700) is 0.6 per cent owned. He scored 31 off the bench in Round 3, making him the least-owned player to score 30-plus.
