Re-signed JackJumpers coach Scott Roth says he is thrilled to stay in his "happy spot" in Tasmania.

JackJumpers head coach Scott Roth has revealed he turned down extensive interest in his services from around the world to continue in his “happy spot”, Tasmania.

It was recently announced Roth would remain as head coach until the end of NBL27 following the pre-emptive taking up of a mutual contract option for NBL26, plus a further year’s extension.

The former Wildcats assistant was named the NBL’s Coach of the Year in his debut campaign at the helm of the JackJumpers, who he led to the Championship Series in their first season of existence.

“The last six to eight months there has been quite a lot of interest, especially from the Asia market, about my availability,” Roth told News Corp.

“You can always seek money at the end of the day, but you can also seek happiness and this is my happy spot."

The JackJumpers will hit the floor on Friday night against Melbourne United at 7:30pm AEDT, live on ESPN via Kayo.
