Reminiscing: A sit down with Corey Williams

Corey ‘Homicide’ Williams, a former NBL MVP on court, turned rockstar in the commentary booth and media space post-career. Everyone in the basketball community and NBL family knew Corey.

In a chat with Peter Hooley in March, Corey opened up about the tough journey it has been, from the moment the doctor told him the news, to how much that has impacted him, his lifestyle and his young family.

The NBL is mourning the passing of Corey; one of the most beloved figures in the game, and a key to the League’s resurgence.

Williams lost his fight with cancer on Friday, aged 46.

He will be remembered as one of the greatest ambassadors the NBL has ever seen.
