Wildcats regain star for United clash

The Perth Wildcats have received a huge boost on the eve of their Round 6 blockbuster with Melbourne United, with one of their stars announced to return.

During Thursday’s media availability, coach John Rillie confirmed that star forward Kristian Doolittle would make his return from a foot injury.

The American missed Round 5’s loss to the Kings in Sydney, and now will play his 100th NBL game on Friday night against United.

Coach Rillie knows how important having the 2025-25 All-NBL First Team member back in the lineup will be, especially with teammate Jo Lual-Acuil Jr. suffering a setback in his calf recovery.

“He (Doolittle) can influence and impact the game,” Rillie said.

“On any given night, he can really dictate the game or how an opposition defends him.

“He gets a lot of attention these days.

“But his willingness to influence the game and make plays for his teammates is crucial to us.”

Friday’s fixture at RAC Arena tips off at 9.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
