With NBL1 conferences across the country, NBL players are front and centre suiting up for various teams, with all the action live and free to watch on the NBL1 App and NBL1.com.au.

Two of the five NBL1 conferences men's divisions have now come to a close, with the Gold Coast Rollers overcoming USC Rip City to win NBL1 North and the Canberra Gunners defeating the Maitland Mustangs to win NBL1 East.

While there was no NBL1 representation in the East final, the North conference finals were heavily influenced by a number of stars.

Gold Coast rolled to a straight sets win in the best of three finals series, registering 25 and 47-point wins on back-to-back nights over Rip City.

Jason Cadee walked away with finals MVP after averaging 29.5 points and 10 assists over the two games, while teammates Tanner Krebs and DJ Mitchell also played starring roles in the victories.

In the absence of Rip City star Kouat Noi in game one, Mitchell and Krebs were dominant on the boards. The pair combined for 28 rebounds – Mitchell had 17 and Krebs 11, while they were each influential on the scoreboard with 19 and 32 points respectively.

Wani Swaka Lo Buluk was Rip City’s only NBL representative in game one. He finished with 17 points and nine rebounds.

Noi returned to the lineup for game two and while he was able to curb the influence of Krebs and Mitchell on the game, Cadee was in irresistible form.

Cadee recorded an exceptional 35 point and 12 assists to set the bedrock for the massive 47-point win, while Noi finished with 18 points and 12 rebounds in what was a solid individual display.

There were representatives on all four teams playing in the preliminary finals of NBL1 South, and it will be Nick Marshall’s Mt Gambier Pioneers taking on Harry Froling, Sam McDaniel and Jarred Bairstow’s Hobart Chargers in the final.

Marshall finished with 17 points and 10 rebounds against the David Barlow and David Okwera led Sandringham Sabres. Barlow was inserted into the starting line-up to great effect and finished with 17 points and 8 boards, while Okwera had 12 points and 15 boards.

Hobart overcame Kilsyth by just five points in the other preliminary final, with poor shooting impacting the ability of both sides to score the ball.

Hobart’s Harry Froling was a threatening presence on the offensive end but just couldn’t get his shot to fall, scoring six points on two for 16 shooting. At the other end of the floor Deng Deng registered seven points – hitting just three of his 22 shot attempts.

The other NBL representatives in the clash – McDaniel and Bairstow for Hobart – finished with nine points and four points respectively.

Daniel Johnson’s Forestville side fell to South Adelaide in the preliminary finals of NBL1 Central. The Panthers recorded a 15-point win to set up a clash with Woodville in the final.

Johnson ended the game with 16 points and eight rebounds for the Eagles.

There will be no NBL representation in the NBL1 West finals after the Warwick Senators suffered a defeat to Rockingham in their preliminary final.

The Senators, who boast the services of Kyle Zunic and Majok Majok, lost by 11 points. The massive third quarter comeback they mounted just wasn’t enough to overcome the consistent Flames.

Zunic finished with nine points and four assists while Majok had 10 points and eight boards.
