NBLxNBA Discussions Happening: Kestelman

NBL Owner Larry Kestelman has confirmed discussions with the NBA about this year’s NBLxNBA games are ongoing.

The Adelaide 36ers created history last year by becoming the first NBL team to defeat an NBA team when they took down the Phoenix Suns, 134-124.

While Kestelman admitted the NBL’s regular season schedule will take priority, he said the league is committed to continuing the NBLxNBA spectacle.

“We absolutely are having those discussions with the NBA. I do want to continue it (but) we’re prioritising our season over and above those games,” Kestelman told Newscorp.

NBLxNBA games started in 2017 and there have been 17 preseason matches between NBL and NBA teams since then.
