The NBL owner clearly wasn’t there to relax, he meant business with high-powered meetings with media heavyweights NBC, CBS, Universal, ESPN and NBA TV, all with the aim of expanding the League’s international footprint.
In what he described as an “aggressive assault” on the American media landscape last month, Kestelman continues to look for ways to grow the NBL.
“I was pleasantly surprised that there is a lot of interest for our product,” Kestelman told Newscorp.
“There is definite interest – we just need to access who the best partner is, but you’ll see us do more and more in the US market.
“We will be absolutely doing an assault on the US market as to how we expose what we do as the second-best league in the world.”
Along with finding platforms to showcase the League, Kestleman added the NBL is planning to be “even more aggressive” in the American market to find Next Stars.
