New look, same ambition
United’s reloaded roster is hungry to take the next step, with Tyson Walker and Finn Delany set to make an immediate impact. Walker’s lightning pace injects energy into the lineup, while Delany’s versatility brings a fresh spark to Dean Vickerman’s game plan.
Sky’s the limit for Higgins-Titsha
Alex Higgins-Titsha continues to elevate his game, showing increasing confidence and composure on both ends of the floor. After delivering 15 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists against the Phoenix, the athletic wing looks ready for a breakout NBL26 campaign.
Tassie connection
Former JackJumpers Milton Doyle and Fabian Krslovic are now donning blue, set to play key roles in United’s success. With assistant coach Jack Flemming also joining the fold, Melbourne has a strong contingent from Tassie's NBL24 Championship at their disposal.
Missing in action
Both teams will be missing some of their key stars, with Jack McVeigh, Reyne Smith and Cairns' trio of imports, Ashton Hagans, Admiral Schofield and Marcus Lee all out. United will be without Chris Goulding and Shea Ili, with the pair rested, while Tom Koppens will miss due to illness.
