Melbourne United's Shea Ili s sustained a left hamstring injury, which will sideline him until early December.

Melbourne United star Shea Ili is set for another stint on the sidelines, just one week after making his long awaited return.

United announced on Tuesday that Tall Black Ili would miss their Round 10 fixtures with Illawarra and Perth, due to a left hamstring injury sustained at training.

Ili only returned from a right hamstring injury during Saturday's win over Brisbane, seeing the club announce they will take a cautious approach with their star guard.

"Having recently returned following an injury to his right hamstring, Ili will be reassessed following the FIBA Window, targeting a return in Round 12," United said via a club statement.

That timeline will also see the 33-year-old miss road games at Perth and South East Melbourne, as well as New Zealand's two FIBA World Cup Qualifiers against Australia in Hobart and Wellington.

United's fixture with Illawarra tips off at 7.30pm Friday, live on ESPN.
