Will Aron Baynes return to the Brisbane Bullets next season?

Aron Baynes’ future in a Brisbane Bullets uniform remains uncertain, with coach Justin Schueller revealing “key decisions” still need to be made between the player and club.

While speaking to Newscorp, Schueller discussed Baynes’ current situation, with the Australian basketball legend yet to make a call on his status for next season.

“Baynes is enjoying family life in the Brisbane sun, but we’re close to finalising our roster and we’ve still got some key decisions to make there,” Schueller told Newscorp

Baynes has been a mainstay for Brisbane for the past two seasons, playing in 47 games and averaging 9.6 points and 6.0 rebounds throughout the campaigns.

However, the 37-year-old had a change in role last season, starting just four games and seeing his minutes dip to 14.2 per game, compared to 23.5 in his debut Bullets year.

Brisbane has Deng Adel, Tohi Smith-Milner, Casey Prather, Isaac White, Josh Bannan, Mitch Norton, Rocco Zikarsky, Sam McDaniel, Keandre Cook, Shannon Scott and Tyrell Harrison all contracted for next season, alongside development players Kye Savage and Josh Kunen.

The Bullets’ season begins on September 21st against the New Zealand Breakers at HoopsFest in Perth, Western Australia.
