Green and Gold Ready

Matisse Thybulle and Duop Reath have set their eyes on the Boomers prize, as they get set to reunite to represent the green and gold for this year's FIBA World Cup.

Reath and Thybulle were members of the bronze medal winning Australian team at the Tokyo Olympics, and will enter Boomers camp in the coming weeks as preparations for August's World Cup heats up. 

Thybulle highlighted he can't wait to immerse himself into the Boomers' culture again. 

“It’s the one consistent through-line. Through these NBA seasons, through the trades, through everything. It’s like I know come August, we’re gonna get back together with the guys and be able to play together, and do something special,” Thybulle said.

Reath echoed Thybulle's energy around the Boomers.

"It's always a fun environment," Reath said. 

Reath and Thybulle will soon head to Australia for the Boomers training camp in Cairns, which will help decide the 12-man roster for the World Cup. 

The World Cup begins on August 25.
