Devastating blow for JackJumpers star

Tasmania JackJumpers star Sean Macdonald has re-injured his ACL.
Tasmanian guard Sean Macdonald has suffered a tear in his ACL graft, following a training incident on Tuesday.
Macdonald, who had surgery in July last year after rupturing the same ACL, has copped another cruel blow during a rehabilitation session.
"It’s devastating, there’s no other word for it,” JackJumpers General Manager of Basketball Operations Darren Smith said.
"Sean has done everything right in the recovery process and was on the eve of getting back in the game, so to have this happen at this point is just heart-breaking."
"The club and his teammates have wrapped their arms around him and we’ll support him every step of the way in his recovery."
The JackJumpers confirmed Macdonald is consulting with medical professionals on the next steps in his recovery.
“We’re in the very early stages of selecting players, so fortunately we have time and flexibility at this point to pivot and give due consideration to the make-up of the team," Smith added.
Macdonald has played 86 games for the JackJumpers, but just nine in the past two seasons.
