Ice, Ice maybe: Can Isaac cool Phoenix flames?

Two-time NBL champion Lanard Copeland has called on Isaac Humphries and John Jenkins to step up for the 36ers in Game 3.
The Adelaide 36ers' second half against the Phoenix was one of their worst during the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 season, outscored 57-35.
But not all is lost for Mike Wells’ side, who get the chance to make amends for that second half fade when they host South East Melbourne in the Series Decider on Tuesday night.
During Monday’s episode of Moments That Mattered, presented by Mitsubishi Motors, two-time NBL champion Lanard Copeland called on a pair of Sixers to step up.

“I know they [Adelaide] have got to go back to the drawing board, because if they want to win the Series, they’ve got to play as they did in that first half,” Copeland said on Moments That Mattered, presented by Mitsubishi Motors.
“[To do so] two things stand out to me.
“Number one is John Jenkins. He’s played limited minutes in the last couple of games of the regular season and now limited minutes in the Playoffs. This is a guy with NBA experience that Mike Wells has clearly lost confidence in.
“The other is Isaac Humphries. He played six minutes in game two, yes, just six minutes. I don’t understand it.
“Yes, he got into foul trouble early, but as you've seen, he was aggressive. I've said this about Isaac, who played for us in the Sydney Kings. If you get the ball to him early, he'll give you everything he has.
“He went to the basket a couple of times, and he scored, but then all of a sudden he went to the bench, and you didn't see him.
“Luckily, when he came in at half-time, he was fired up and helping [Bryce] Cotton, which shows he's a team player and a guy who can help you.”
In the same vein, Copeland believes Adelaide needs to be wary of a full-of-confidence Phoenix outfit.
Leading the charge is All-NBL First Team player Nathan Sobey, who scored a career-high 41 points, including 17 in the third quarter alone, on Saturday.
“He’s had a fantastic season already, and we saw how hungry he is, [as he believes] ... it's time for him to win a championship,” Copeland said.
“When you go, when you can take 16 threes and make eight of them, you're not shooting enough. I can say that.
“To have 41 points [and have the team play as they did], gives him [and the group] a lot of confidence going in Adelaide.”
Tuesday’s sudden death Game 3 tips off at 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
