"Gorjok knows the league well and gives us an athletic presence in the pick and roll on both sides of the ball."

The South East Melbourne Phoenix continue to secure key pieces of their roster for NBL26, with Gorjok Gak signing a one-year deal with the club.

Gak played with the Phoenix during the NBL24 season, posting career-high numbers, before heading to the JackJumpers in the off-season. He returns to South Melbourne as it looks to continue its rise under Josh King.

The 29-year-old averaged 5.4 points and 4.9 rebounds, logging around 16 minutes a game during his last stint in the Heartland.

“Gorjok knows the league well and gives us an athletic presence in the pick and roll on both sides of the ball,”  club GM of Basketball Operations Simon Mitchell said.

“It’s great that Gorjok is headed back to the Heartland and we look forward to seeing him on court.”

Gak joins DJ Mitchell, Jordan Hunter, Nathan Sobey, Angus Glover, Owen Foxwell, Daniel Foster and Akech Aliir as confirmed signings ahead of the Hungry Jack’s NBL26 season.
