With Sam McDaniel set for another stint on the sidelines, the Brisbane Bullets are reportedly already hunting for a replacement.

According to foxsports.com.au's Jai Shadlow, the Bullets are closing in on forward Mawot Mag as a potential injury replacement for McDaniel, who will miss close to six weeks with a lower-leg complaint.

25-year-old Mag last played for the Taipans, averaging 2.9 points, 2.3 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 0.5 steals per game across his 16 appearances during the Hungry Jack's NBL26 Season.

The Brisbane Bullets are closing in on former Cairns Taipans forward Mawot Mag as a potential Injury Replacement, sources told Fox Sports Australia. The unfortunate injury of Sam McDaniel has no doubt forced the team to bring in some backup. Mag played 16 games for the Taipans last season before suffering a season-ending stress fracture in his foot. 📰https://t.co/pxmBcvKWdy #NBL #NBL27

Will Weaver's side, who have lost their past three games after winning their opening two, are also currently without guard Taine Murray (lower limb).

The Bullets next host South East Melbourne on Thursday, October 16 from 7.30pm AEDT, live on ESPN.
