Checking in on all our NBL players currently playing in NBL1 around the country

NBL1 South returned with a bang this weekend and a host of NBL stars rose to the occasion. 

Cairns’ George Blagojevic led the way with 32 points and 14 rebounds against Bendigo on Saturday night.

David Andersen returned to Frankston for the first time as an NBL21 Championship Player, registering 15 points, four rebounds and three assists against Sam McDaniel’s Sandringham side. 

In NBL1 North, Harry Froling had a breakout game for the Mackay Meteors with 40 points and 10 rebounds against Cairns. 

Not only did Froling dominate inside the paint, but he also went nine from 15 at the three-point line.

Kendall Stephens also had a breakout game for Rockhampton, guiding his team to its first win of the season with his last-minute dagger. 

In the end, he collected 21 points and five rebounds against Cairns. 

Over in the west, Scott Machado had another stellar game for the Mandurah Magic, missing out on a triple-double by just one rebound. 

He finished the game against Lakeside with 24 points, nine boards and 11 assists.

Perth Wildcats’ Tom Jervis had a consistent weekend while suiting up for Rockingham, with 15 points, six rebounds and seven assists against Warwick as well as 14 points and 12 boards against East Perth.
