Melbourne United will be without Chris Goulding for several weeks, though Shea Ili is set to make his season debut against Cairns.

Melbourne United will be without star Chris Goulding for multiple weeks after injuring his calf in Round 2.

The club announced on Wednesday that the sharpshooter would be re-evaluated in two weeks after sustaining an injury during his side's Throwdown win over South East Melbourne.

Squad update:
Shea Ili (hamstring) will miss tomorrow’s game. Ili will make his season debut at home on Saturday.
Chris Goulding (low grade calf injury) will miss Round 3 and be reevaluated in 2 weeks.

In better injury news, New Zealand international Shea Ili is scheduled to make his season debut on Saturday against Cairns at John Cain Arena.

United said Austin Shelley, Christian D'Angelo and Will Hynes will suit up for the club against Tasmania, in the absence of Goulding and Ili.
