Talking points

No Knight in shining armour
For the second straight game, the Perth Wildcats will go into the fixture without either of their top point guards, Brandon Knight or Jaron Rillie.

With NBA guard Knight expected to arrive next week, the Wildcats need the likes of Dylan Windler and Anthony Dell'Orso to produce stronger performances than they did in Round 1.

Obviously Kristian Doolittle and Elijah Pepper will get theirs, along with Jo Lual-Acuil Jr., but others need to step up in Knight's absence.

Anytime six-time MVP Bryce Cotton returns to Perth, it's going to be special, and Thursday is no different, with the superstar set to play his 300th game.

The stars have aligned, allowing the now 36ers captain to celebrate the milestone at RAC Arena, a court he called his own for nine seasons.

If Cotton's first game back in Perth was anything to go by last season, this Round 2 fixture is must-watch hoops.
