Tassie proud: Paine joins JackJumpers

Monday, July 22, 2024
A veteran of 35 tests and 35 one-day internationals, Tasmanian Tim Paine is joining the JackJumpers' board.
Former Australian cricket captain Tim Paine has joined the Tasmania JackJumpers' Advisory Board, as Director of High Performance.
Paine has formed a strong bond with coach Scott Roth since the Club's inception, and is excited to play a more formal role with the NBL24 champions.
"Like all Tasmanians I have followed the JackJumpers with great interest since their first season and have very much enjoyed my interactions with Scott and his coaching staff," Paine said.
"I am thrilled to now be asked to play a more formal role as High Performance Director, sharing my experience and at the same time learning more about the JackJumpers' program."
A veteran of 35 tests and 35 one-day internationals for his country, the Tasmanian-born Paine was welcomed to the board by JackJumpers owner and founder, Larry Kestelman.
“I am very proud of all members of my voluntary Advisory Board,” Kestelman said.
"Each have contributed in a very meaningful way since the Club’s inception and I am pleased that Tim has now committed to join as High Performance Director. We look forward to his input in to how we continue to evolve and improve on our very successful on-court program."
Paine will formally commence his role with the JackJumpers at a Board Meeting on Friday, July 26.
The 39-year-old will join other Directors Steve Old (Chair), Keryn Nylander (Marketing & PR), Scott Harris (Community and Infrastructure), Damon Wise (Commercial), Lauren Jauncey (People and Culture) and Rob Inches (Finance), alongside Kestelman as owner.
