Tuesday, June 4, 2024
A raft of NBL talent continues to headline South Sudan's slashed 25-man roster for the Paris Olympics.
South Sudan’s initial 50-man roster for the Paris Olympics has been sliced in half, with the Federation announcing a 25-man training camp roster ahead of its tournament preperations.
NBL25 rostered players Deng Adel, Sunday Dech, Majok Deng, Bul Kuol, Jackson Makoi, Lat Mayen and Kouat Noi have all retained their positions on the roster, alongside NBL24 contributors Junior Madut and Mangok Mathiang.
The roster is headlined by NBA talent Bol Bol and former Boomer Thon Maker, who are set to make their international bows for their birth nation ahead of South Sudan’s historic debut Olympic campaign.
Former NBL Next Star Makur Maker, 150-game NBA veteran Wenyen Gabriel, 2023 NBA G-League MVP Carlik Jones and Duke commit and potential top three 2025 NBA Draft selection Khaman Maluach are other notable names to have retained their place.
