Proven winner lands at Phoenix

Tuesday, June 25, 2024
The South East Melbourne Phoenix have signed Tom Vodanovich on a one-year deal.
New Zealand-born forward Tom Vodanovich may be the extra spice the Phoenix need for a run to the title in NBL25, after signing a one-year deal with the club.
Already a two-time championship player, Vodanovich brings further experience to a roster that's already added Nathan Sobey, Derrick Walton Jr, Angus Glover and Jordan Hunter in the off-season.

The 29-year-old was signed to the JackJumpers late in the piece last season on the road to championship glory, following a season with the New Zealand Breakers, and previous to that further championship success with the Sydney Kings in 2021-22.
In all, he's played six seasons in the NBL across three clubs.
“Tom brings championship success, toughness, physicality and is always a threat from deep,” South East Melbourne's General Manager of Basketball Operations, Simon Mitchell said.
“We’ve made no secret of our want for physical competitors, as well as shooting in the front court, and the fact Tom has strong relationships with guys we have signed this off-season is a bonus.”
