No Ego Import Needed in Adelaide

Adelaide 36ers leader Mitch McCarron has declared the club’s third import must check their ego at the door.

Adelaide 36ers leader Mitch McCarron has declared the club’s third import must check their ego at the door.

After parting ways with Craig Randall II, the 36ers remain on the hunt for another import, and McCarron has outlined the personality boxes they must tick.

“We’ve had some discussions as a leadership group and as a playing group just saying we’re pretty happy with the way we’re playing and we trust the guys that are coming in off the bench,” McCarron told Newscorp.

“If there was going to be a third import, we need that guy to understand what we’re looking for…and also not bring this ego where it’s about them and understand that, right now, our group’s humming because we’ve got people bought into letting the ball pop.”

Adelaide has settled into the season after a rocky start, sitting sixth on the ladder with a 5-5 record heading into Friday night’s clash with the Cairns Taipans.

The 36ers have a golden opportunity to establish themselves in the upper echelon of the ladder in December when they play six of nine contests at home.
