When last year’s MVP, Jaylen Adams parted ways with his Serbian club, Crvena zvezda, the NBL world was abuzz with talk he might be on the way back down under.

With several teams still looking for the right mix of players, Adams could be the difference between contending for the championship, or falling agonisingly short.

Brisbane recently released import Devondrick Walker and need to find a replacement to put themselves in the mix, but early indications are that Adams won’t be buying a ticket to anywhere in Australia according to NewsCorp’s Crosscourt duo Matt Logue and Mick Randall.

“Sydney is home and not without IC (Ian Clark) or ‘Rell (Jarell Martin), so probably no for this year,” Adams told Crosscourt

Those holding on to any hope might latch onto the key word ‘probably’ in Adams’ quote, suggesting the door hasn’t been completely slammed shut.
