Tasmania star guard Josh Magette has declared he would love to be a JackJumper for life.
Magette has become a vital cog for Tasmania’s engine room and embodies the team-first, unselfish culture, the JackJumpers have developed.
The Tasmanian community have welcomed Magette’s family, including wife Christina and children Hays and Josephine, with open arms, which has the 33-year-old keen to make Hobart home for the rest of his career.

“I’d love to finish my career here and ride it out. But basketball is a business and they don’t just hand out contracts, you’ve got to go out there and earn it,” Magette told The Mercury.
“We’ve (Magette’s family) had anything we could have ever dreamt of and that’s why we were keen, see I’m even talking like an Australian now, to get back here for another year.”
Magette will lead the JackJumpers against the New Zealand Breakers on Boxing Day at 7:30pm AEDT.
