Jessup hits the mark: NBLxNBA Summer League Day Eight Recap

Illawarra Hawks NBL Next Star Justinian Jessup has been a focal point of the Golden State Warriors’ offence during the NBA Summer League and he played a key role in Monday’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Jessup scored 16 points and added four rebounds for the Warriors, who own his NBA rights after drafting him last year. He shot 7-of-16 from the field and 2-of-8 from three-point range, which highlights how important he has been to Golden State’s Summer League campaign.

Cam Oliver played 11 minutes for the Warriors and recorded four points and five rebounds.

For the Pelicans, Didi Louzada scored four points and made a big impact on the defensive end in their 80-79 victory.

Former South East Melbourne Phoenix import Ben Moore had his best performance of the Summer League on Monday, amassing nine points, 10 rebounds and two blocks for the Memphis Grizzlies.
