Adams returns for Kings
Star Sydney Kings import Jaylen Adams will return to the line-up in tonight’s game against the Illawarra Hawks. Fellow import RJ Hunter will also play but Angus Glover will miss due to COVID.
"Jaylen will play and play a good amount. RJ will play a little bit each game across the course of the weekend as we try to ease him back into things," coach Chase Buford said via ESPN.
MVP lessons for Adams
As he prepares to return tonight, Adams has revealed the most significant lesson he learnt from playing alongside two-time NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo at the Milwaukee Bucks.
“Giannis’ work ethic, and seeing that every day at training, was the biggest thing for me,” Adams said via the Daily Telegraph.
Cotton reveals COVID impact
Perth Wildcats superstar Bryce Cotton says having COVID-19 was like having a “bad cold” as the three-time MVP exits isolation.
“I didn’t really have anything like where it was severe. I was happy with that. It kind of felt like a bad cold,” Cotton told 96FM.
Bullets focused from start
After a poor first quarter performance against New Zealand last week, Brisbane star Robert Franks says the club will be switched on from the outset against South East Melbourne on Saturday night.
“I think we are going to be ready, I think we are going to come in focused,” Franks said.
Jessup settles in The Gong
Illawarra sharpshooter Justinian Jessup says he feels more settled during his second season with the Hawks.
“I'm more familiar with Wollongong, so my second year here has also had a lot more familiarity and comfort to it,” Jessup said via the Illawarra Mercury.
JackJumpers “raring to go”
The Tasmania JackJumpers are ready to put COVID behind them and get back to basketball according to club CEO Simon Brookhouse.
“The feeling amongst the group is quite positive, they’re raring to go, they only want to get out there practicing and get into our next game,” Brookhouse said.
