Sydney Kings guard Dejan Vasiljevic has a simple message for the social media haters ahead of Grand Final Game 3 on Wednesday night.
“After all the stuff they said, they can just watch me walk away with the trophy,” Vasiljevic said.
Vasiljevic hit the dagger three-pointer to secure Sydney’s Game 2 win in Tasmania, which has led to some fans sending the 25-year-old hate messages on social media.
As the Kings prepare for game 3 on Wednesday night, and a chance to win the club’s first title since 2005, Vasiljevic isn’t letting the off-court noise get to him.
“Just a bunch of keyboard warriors. They can be tough behind a screen. I’m just going to keep moving on and keep playing my game,” Vasiljevic said.
“I hit the biggest shot of my career so far, of course I’m going to celebrate for a minute or two. I ain’t too worried about it. I just win a championship for my city. We haven’t done it for 17 years.”

Vasiljevic scored 20 points in Game 2 and is set to play a major role again in Game 3, with MVP Jaylen Adams a game time decision due to a hamstring injury.
Sydney holds a 2-0 lead in the best-of-five series against the Tasmania JackJumpers and could secure its first championship since 2005 with a win in Game 3 on Wednesday night.
Game 3 tips-off at 7:30pm AEST and will be broadcast live on ESPN via Kayo Freebies.
