Bullets keen on Baynes

It has been reported the Brisbane Bullets have inquired if Australian Boomer Aron Baynes would be interested in coming to the NBL after he recovers from injury.

“The Brisbane Bullets have reached out to Boomers big man Aron Baynes about the possibility of suiting up for the Bullets, as early as next season,” Newscorp’s basketball writer Matt Logue reported.

Kay eyes Wildcats return 

Former Perth Wildcats star Nick Kay is focused on his international career but says he would love to return to the club again in the future.

“I’d love to be able to return to Perth where I’ve got a home and my fiancée’s family is from there. The club is the best in the league and I’d love to be part of that again,” Kay told The West Australian’s The Dribble Podcast.

Cooks on NBA radar 

Sydney Kings star Xavier Cooks is poised to land an NBA Summer League spot this year according to Newscorp’s basketball writer Matt Logue. Illawarra Hawks coach Brian Goorjian has also been fielding NBA calls about Cooks.

“I’m constantly getting NBA people on the phone asking about players, (including Cooks),” Goorjian told ESPN.

Breakers rolling through challenges

New Zealand star Finn Delany says the Breakers are trying to keep their heads up during a season filled with unprecedented challenges.

“That's been our mindset with all these challenges, we have to roll with the unexpected changes and keep moving forward,” Delany told ESPN.
