Hawks import Michael Frazier II will return to the court in tonight’s game against the Adelaide 36ers, bringing some relief to Illawarra’s
disappointing stretch of import issues this season.
The Hawks have suffered many blows this season, in particular, an import curse.
Justin Robinson was ruled out for the season after one game, and his replacement, Peyton Siva, has also suffered a season ending injury. George King and the club parted ways earlier this season as he went back to America to recover from his own ailments.
Frazier II was nearly struck by the curse after being ruled out of their game against the Cairns Taipans in round 13 due to hamstring issues but he will play tonight.
According to Illawarra veteran Kevin White, Frazier II's attitude has been a beacon of light in a grim campaign for the two-win Hawks.

"Mike works so hard. He's constantly in the gym and putting in work to be better so when game time comes, he trusts the work that he's done," White told the Illawarra Mercury.
"His ability to score the ball is pretty special and getting to his spot, knowing where his spot is, pulling up and shooting the mid-range. And he's so strong as well. He's got multiple tools in his kit bag to be able to pull out and score, but he's not afraid to take on the best offensive player on the other team and try lock them up in defence.
“Mike works hard to put himself in a position to be successful, and all of that comes from what he does off the court."
Frazier II signed with the Hawks in November and is averaging 18.14 points and 4.3 rebounds.
In hopes to improve their 2-17 record, Frazier II will be a key piece on the offensive end for the Hawks in tonight’s clash.
Tip-off between Illawarra and Adelaide is 7:30pm AEDT at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre.
