Alex Mudronja and Kian Dennis have signed on as development players with the Cairns Taipans.

The Cairns Taipans have added a pair of new development players for NBL24, with former Hawk Alex Mudronja and former Bullet Kian Dennis each signing deals with the club.

Both Mudronja and Dennis represented Southern Districts in NBL1 North this off-season.

The Taipans will be Mudronja’s third NBL club, following two seasons at each of Illawarra and Adelaide, where he made a combined 44 appearances.

Exactly half of those came in the Hawks’ injury-hit NBL23 season, where he averaged 1.9 points per game.

Dennis made three appearances for Brisbane as an 18-year-old in the 2019-20 season.

The now 22-year-old averaged 10.1 points and 5.7 rebounds across 19 NBL1 appearances for the Spartans this past season.

Both players have signed two-year deals, with the second season coming with a club option.
