NBL players in NBL1 Central and NBL1 West took centre stage this week following the postponement of NBL1 South and NBL1 North rounds.

After two weeks off, Jack McVeigh picked up where he left off for the North Adelaide Rockets with 27 points and 12 boards against Norwood.

Adelaide 36ers’ Owen Hulland also had a good weekend for South Adelaide, scoring in double figures in both games the Panthers played.

In NBL1 West, Scott Machado suited up three times during Round 17 for the Mandurah Magic.

The Cairns Taipans star notched up impressive averages of 19 points, 5.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists to keep Mandurah in the NBL1 West finals hunt.

Perth Wildcats’ Tom Jervis was solid once again for Rockingham with 15 points, nine rebounds and four assists against Machado’s Mandurah on Saturday night.

Andrew Ferguson had another good weekend for the high-flying Perry Lakes Hawks with a double-double in each game.
