Former Sydney Kings head coach Damian Cotter has been named as an assistant coach by the Chicago Bulls for the coming NBA season.
Former Sydney Kings head coach Damian Cotter has been named as an assistant coach by the Chicago Bulls for the coming NBA season.
Last season Cotter was the head coach for the Bulls G-League affiliate, the Windy City Bulls with a team that included new Hawks import Justin Simon.
Cotter has previously also been an assistant coach with the Capital City Go-Go (2018-19) and the Long Island Nets (2017-18) in the G-League.

He spent two seasons coaching in the NBL, first as an assistant with Sydney during the 2013/14 season before before being elevated to head coach for the 2014/15 season.
Cotter was let go by the Kings 12 games into the season with Sydney appointing Joe Connelly to the head coach role for the remainder of the season.
In addition to his time in the NBL, Cotter has significant experience in international tournaments as head coach of the Australian Emus U19 team at the 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2013 World Championships.
Cotter also spent time with the Australian Opals as an assistant coach from 2013-2016.
