The Brisbane Bullets are hoping to add more star-power to their roster, with Will McDowell-White a key target during Free Agency.
The Brisbane Bullets are hoping to add more star-power to their roster, with Will McDowell-White a key target during Free Agency.
McDowell-White is out of contract at the New Zealand Breakers, with his signature sure to be in high demand after a strong Championship Series.
New coach Justin Schueller says Brisbane is prioritising the point-guard spot, and Queensland native McDowell-White would be a perfect fit.
“We feel pretty good about it but, ultimately, it’s going to come own to what he really wants,” Schueller told News Corp. “We’ll put a good offer to him.”

McDowell-White averaged 10.8 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.9 assists across NBL23, but stepped things up during the Championship Series, averaging 13.6 points and 6.4 rebounds.
Brisbane had a disappointing NBL23 campaign, but could be a whole new proposition with McDowell-White, alongside Nathan Sobey and Aron Baynes.
It won’t be an easy task to pry the 24-year-old out of New Zealand though, with Breakers owner Matt Walsh confident he’ll stay.
“We love Will,” Walsh said last week.
“I love Will because I love the way he plays basketball, aside from how he is as a person. He’s smart, he does all the right things, and watching him progress these last few years has been amazing.
“There’s a business side of this, but we’re going to do everything we can. I think he’ll be back.”
