When it comes to competitiveness, NBL23 is truly unrivalled.

When it comes to competitiveness, NBL23 is truly unrivalled.

You only need to look at the last week’s results to illustrate that fact; the bottom-placed Illawarra Hawks, boasting just two wins for the season, victorious in enemy territory against the third-placed New Zealand Breakers.

The struggling Brisbane Bullets knocking off two teams very much in the mix for finals, South East Melbourne and Adelaide.

Tasmania showing grit and grind like no other, away from home, to end Cairns’ six-game winning streak.

And then there’s Perth, whose season looked over at the half way point, before an incredible turnaround – their latest scalp, a side that’s looked unbeatable of late, the Sydney Kings.

As the race for finals places intensifies, every game is in the balance. No win is guaranteed. Every team is capable of beating any other, on any given night.

Consider this – the last six matches have seen teams defeating opponents placed higher than them on the ladder. When it comes to unrivalled drama, this season is like no other.

So with just 20 games remaining in NBL23, what’s the next twist or turn? Eight teams are fighting it out for six spots in the finals, while the Bullets and Hawks would love nothing more than to continue spoiling the party and finishing their seasons on a high.

Strap yourselves in, this is going to be fun!
