Perth Wildcats GM of Basketball Danny Mills has revealed the club aims to have just two imports next season, shifting their focus towards signing another marquee local.

The Wildcats have signed Keanu Pinder as a marquee, while Bryce Cotton remains an import.

Mills says the club is searching for another marquee and import to complete the core of the roster.

“We’re going to scour the local market for another high-end marquee-type,” Mills told The West Australian.

“That’s what we’re after for sure. Our primary focus is on building this local roster first and we’ll complement that with our imports.”

Perth announced last week Tai Webster will return, while his brother Corey is also expected to be back.

A youth movement is taking place at the Wildcats, with WA youngsters Ben Henshall and David Okwera signing, while Kyle Zunic is back.
