"There’s a chance that one of the two imports from last season come back"

The South East Melbourne Phoenix could bring back one of Gary Browne or Trey Kell next season, according to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc.

South East Melbourne has two import spots to fill, alongside the already returning Alan Williams, with club executives keeping a close eye on potential recruits at the NBA Summer League.

With an import guard on their agenda, Uluc has reported Browne or Kell could join Williams in returning to the Phoenix, based on other signings.

“Depending on who they get, and they feel like they’re zoning in on a few guys, there’s a chance that one of the two imports from last season come back – that’s either Gary Browne or Trey Kell,” Uluc told NBL Media.

Kell played 24 games for the Phoenix last season, amassing 12.5 points per game, while Browne averaged 12.2 points and 6.5 assists in 20 appearances.

Under new coach Mike Kelly, South East Melbourne has a roster constructed of Williams, Mitch Creek, Reuben Te Rangi, Rhys Vague, Owen Foxwell, Ben Ayre, Gorjok Gak, Matt Kenyon, and development players Anzac Rissetto and Austin Rapp.
