Next Stars shine in latest NBA Mock Drafts

Three NBL stars are sitting prominent on NBA Draft boards, according to league experts.

NBA Next Stars Alex Toohey, Rocco Zikarsky, and Izan Almansa are all prominent in the most recent drop of NBA Mock Drafts.

ESPN and Yahoo Sports released their latest rankings during the NBA Draft Combine, with Kings’ young gun Toohey at pick 40 in Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo’s list for ESPN, and 57 from Kevin O’Connor in Yahoo's rankings.

The ESPN pairing had Zikarsky as the 48th overall selection, heading to Memphis, a day after he was measured as the tallest player at the Combine in Chicago, at 221 centimetres (7'3"), and clocked the highest standing reach at 290 centimetres (9'6").

Perth Wildcats star Almansa came in at 58 in Yahoo’s rankings, currently slated for the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Australian prospect Alex Condon (Florida Gators) is also well and truly in the Draft mix, ranked number 31 by ESPN and 45 by Yahoo.

Duke’s Tyrese Proctor is listed at number 52 by ESPN and 53 by Yahoo.

The Combine is currently underway in Chicago, with NBL stars Toohey, Zikarsky, Almansa, Ben Henshall, and Lachlan Olbrich all in attendance.
