NBL and Marvel Studios Assemble for Avengers: Doomsday Round

Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday will take over Round 11 of the Hungry Jack's NBL27 season, bringing one of the world's biggest entertainment franchises to basketball fans.

Avengers: Doomsday Round will see all 10 NBL clubs wear uniquely themed jerseys inspired by the highly anticipated Marvel Studios film, Avengers: Doomsday.

The limited-edition jerseys will be revealed closer to the round and will be available for fans to purchase through the NBL Store.

The round begins on Thursday, December 3, when the Brisbane Bullets host the Perth Wildcats, continuing the NBL's growing relationship with The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand. It follows Disney+'s successful partnership with the inaugural Ignite Cup and ESPN as the official broadcaster of the NBL.

NBL Group Chief Product Officer, Alex Hamilton, said the league was excited to deliver yet another unique fan experience.

"Basketball and entertainment have a unique ability to bring people together, and Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday Round will create an exciting moment for our fans across the league at a crucial point in the season," Hamilton said.

"We're really looking forward to seeing our clubs unveil their respective jersey designs and celebrating one of the world's most iconic entertainment franchises."

The Walt Disney Company Australia and New Zealand Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Kylie Watson-Wheeler, said: "We're excited for this specially themed NBL round which brings together Marvel fan favourites and Australian basketball's biggest stars.
