Tasmania JackJumpers coach Scott Roth has revealed the club will “probably end up changing” their third import spot and move on from MiKyle McIntosh.
McIntosh had a slow start to the season before playing a key role in Tasmania’s run to the Grand Final.
Speaking on SEN, Roth conceded the JackJumpers will look for more size and a different type of player to replace McIntosh.
“We’ll probably end up changing over MiKyle and trying to get someone just a little bit bigger in that position,” Roth said.
The Coach of the Year also provided an update on superstar Josh Adams, admitting he is receiving financial offers Tasmania can’t match.
“He’s (Adams) getting million dollar offers in China and some other places,” Roth said.
“It’s going to be a lifestyle choice for him or a situation where he only has X amount of years to play and can he go and make as much money as possible.”
There was better news regarding Josh Magette, as the two sides remain in discussions surrounding a return.
“I feel like we’re getting close to maybe having something done with him (Magette) but we’re still going through that process,” Roth said.
