Major setback for Wildcats in top four race

Major setback for Wildcats in top four race

15 Feb 2026

Dylan Windler has been ruled out of Perth’s crucial clash with Sydney, dealing a major blow to the Wildcats’ top four hopes.

As if coming up against a team that’s won 15 of its past 17 games wasn’t tough enough, the Perth Wildcats will now have to do it without two of their most important players.

Dylan Windler has been ruled out of Sunday’s clash against Sydney with a heel injury, joining Ben Henshall (ankle) on the sidelines for a vital game with huge Finals implications.

The Wildcats are in a race for a top four spot, currently a game clear of Melbourne United with two fixtures remaining.

A loss to the Kings would put Perth in a precarious position going into its final fixture of the regular season against Adelaide on Friday night.
