Talking points
Turning point
The Adelaide 36ers were many experts’ pick for the championship in the pre-season, and for good reason, with most of their squad returning for NBL27.
After a slow start to the season, the 36ers went into a hostile Afterpay Arena and earned some redemption against the reigning champions, Sydney, in a feisty contest between the two teams.
Perhaps that late-game exchange between Kendric Davis and Bryce Cotton is exactly what this Adelaide team needed to turn the corner and string some wins together.
The benchmark?
The Tasmania JackJumpers had one of the most balanced and productive off-seasons in the League, and they are already reaping the rewards early in the campaign.
With Taran Armstrong and Will Magnay bookending their starting unit, Scott Roth’s team is steadily building into a nightmare to play against.
Could this Tasmania team really be the benchmark?
