Perth is taking motivation from their last showing against Adelaide into Friday night's rematch, after coach John Rillie said the Wildcats were “atrocious” in their round eight meeting with the 36ers.
Perth struggled in their last game against Adelaide with a 96-82 loss, with Rillie saying that poor effort should drive standards in the rematch.
“We were atrocious at RAC against them last time,” Rillie said.
“We should be motivated to go in and perform better because we were not good as a team and were not good as individuals. Adelaide is going to play the way they do.
“They virtually just beat us one-on-one with straight line drives. It doesn’t matter how good a coach or individual you are, if you get driven straight line, there is no defence that can get set to defend that. Personal pride will come into this game.”

Wildcats import Brady Manek has impressed Rillie over the last month with his consistency, as he has found his role within the team.
Manek is averaging 12.2 points and 4.4 rebounds, and hit three triples in a row in the fourth quarter in last week’s win over the Breakers.
“Brady Manek has become a very consistent player probably over the last month,” Rillie said.
“If you look at some of guys’ career statistics - they are well below their career statistics. Brady Manek - he’s the best example. We’re playing better as a team because he’s been a consistent performer over the last month. If we can get some more guys in that box, we’re going to be a very good team.”
The Wildcats face the 36ers on Friday night at 7:30pm AEDT.
